Saturday Kate had to teach all day, so I went exploring around Lake Washington to see what I could find.
I stopped for breakfast at this place by U of W. I tried their burger. Eh, I was disappointed. Kinda like McDonalds. Fried, flattened and dry.
I wander around and find Sandy Point and explore the park along the waterfront.
"Art" along a nature trail that used diving planes from retired submarines.
Took this picture for Kate to remember to try the food here. The first vegetarian Thai restaurant in the NW. It was on 45th near I-5 I think.
Then I wander back towards Renton where we were staying and found this great park on the south end of Lake Washington. That's a Boeing plant in the background.
That's a Boeing plant, there are several around Washington. I was told that the airplane there is waiting to be shipped via barge up the lake to one of their other plants.

Kate and I managed to squeeze some sunshine into our checked luggage to use during our visit. Some of the locals were taking advantage of the rather nice weather. It was in the 70's-80's and sunny on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Saturday night after class we go out for Dinner along shores of Puget Sound. This boat was docked by the restaurant and looked like someone was living aboard it.

That's one of the many Argosy tour boats. We'll be on one of those later in the Vacation taking pictures from where that boat is.

Ray's Boathouse. Great food. I had a cup of clam chowder for starters, followed by Copper River Salmon (a seasonal thing I guess), followed up with clam chowder for dessert. All of the food was great! The clam chowder was so good I had it for dessert too.

This was our view from the deck at Ray's Boathouse. They brought blankets out if you got chilly.
