My attempt at building a misting system for the pontoon. It uses lake water to cool. If all else fails, I'll have a wash-down pump for the boat.

Six nozzel mister on the left with it's 10' feed hose on the right. It connects to a garden hose connection.

Lower left is the misting system feeder hose, then a brass adapter (3/4" threaded to 1/2" barbed) that the misters connect to the clear vinyl 1/2" hose. Some of the clear hose then connects to the output of the Flojet Automatic Demand Waterpump with a hose clamp securing it. Then, a short section of clear hose on the input side of the pump goes the 1/2" barbed end of a female 3/4" brass adapter. The adapter then screws into a PVC 3/4" male adapter. The PVC adapter will be glued onto a section of PVC Pipe.

The pump is rated at 1.1 Gallons Per minute, drawing 3.5 amps max with an automatic shutoff when it reaches 35 PSI. We'll see how well it works.

Here you see the PVC pipe section on top. The intake of the pump connects to that brass connector on that pipe. At the bottom of the picture you see a garden soaker with a PVC adapter stuck on it. The towell is then wrapped around the soaker to filter crud out of the water. The version I saw used a chamios as a filter.

There, the soaker is attached to the pvc pipe. This is the water pickup that's stuck into the lake once I wrap the soaker with something to filter the water.
