This is the approach to Windy Point. Apparently this is the last phase of construction on the roadway. Then end of a 15 year project.

Some burn area.

It's one-way traffic, controlled with stop-lights, going past Windy Point and Geology Vista.

They're really tearing things out, widening the road. It's pretty barren going through this section. If it's not burnt, it's plowed.

I do believe that's what's left of Geology Vista on the right up there. Can't park there now.

We rode the chair lift at Ski Valley. There was a little scorching on the bottoms of the trees, but the fire didn't crown here. Sitting on top and looking down the other side you see total destruction.

They only let you walk around a little fenced in area at the top of the mountain now. This day there was a storm rolling in on us and they wouldn't let us stay on top.

On our way back down the mountain.
