Finally, I have memory in the camera and can take a picture of Dan's new boat. What a color, it really stands out on the lake.

There goes Dan and the houseboat. The houseboat was a 54' boat.

Oh ya, Kate made these awesome shade screens for use on the pontoon. They strap to the frame for the bimini top and down to the rails on the pontoon. At first I was concerned about the gap at the top between the bimini top and screen, but found that gap great in congested waters. I could just stand up to navigate (like I normally do in congested waters) and have a clear view of what was going on.

There's the houseboat. There's a built in shade cover/bimini on the roof of the houseboat, but we've supplemented it with an EZ-UP canopy.

We take a lunch break on Day 1 in Padre Bay before continuing further up the lake. That's Shawn, Dan, Tony, Z and Mike.

Here's Tony in front of the pontoon boat. We had the 54' Houseboat, an 18' rental Boston Whaler, Dan's Reinell and two jet skis.

That's me.

Here's a better shot of the shade screens Kate made for me. I picked up the shade screen material at home depot, along with some grommets for it. Kate cut it to size and sewed the edges to keep it from unravelling. I have another for the back of the boat, but didn't use it on this trip.

As always on Lake Powell, a map isn't too far away. It's a huge lake and easy to get lost on if you're not paying attention. Getting lost can use up alot of fuel and it's a long way between marina's. From Wahweap Marina to Dangling Rope Marina it's close to 42 mile. I pulled into Dangling rope in the pontoon on fumes (filled pontoon with 29.4 gallons of gas plus oil into the 30 gallon tank).
