Alright, we're ready to leave. Z loads a ski boot into the back of the truck.

Z's pretty hungry when we show up. We bust out a summer sausage to snack on. Ok, the summer sausage ends up tasting pretty bad. So...Z thinks frying some of it up with some dried onions and garlic salt will make it better.

Ah, the cabin has finally warmed up. It was 18f when we showed up and started up the fireplace. Oh, that bit of time waiting for the air to purge out of the gas lines is excruciatingly long when it's 30 degrees inside and 18 outside. In reality it probably only took 5 minutes for the air to purge, but it sure felt longer.

We rolled into Show Low with the truck making a squeeling noise. Hrmm, sounds like bearings or something in the differential.

Z makes the best out of things and has some fun with that bead thingy in the waiting room.

Impressive magazine selection they have at Hatch Toyota.

What do we learn at Hatch Toyota:

  • There is a grease fitting on the driveline that is often missed during a routine lubrication service.
  • It wasn't the brake pads and rotors making the noise. Despite what Hatch Toyota told us, it was the absense of 5 cents of grease in the drive line.
  • Z get's an education in dealing with misdiagnosed autowork. You CAN negotiate the labor on the bill very easily. Can we say brake job and new rotors installed for half the cost.

Never knew Everready made beers. This was a heavy duty beer. Oh, that's the frozen spigot sitting on the table.
